Hot Work/Welding Safety Training

The aim of the training is to equip the delegate with the knowledge to identify different hazards and control measures associated with hot work/welding.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:

• To ensure the work area is inspected and all sources of ignition are isolated from the hot work area and make the area safe for hot works.
• Identification of hazards associated with welding and application of control measures.
• To understand how and why hot work permit is issued.
• To establish fire watches when applicable
• To use appropriate personal protective equipment and their proper usage.
